A surprise to nobody, Apple has just announced their new iPhone, as well as some other products. There’s some notable changes with the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro this year, such as upgraded cameras, better processing power, and improved battery. While it doesn't sport a drastically different body shape, the camera box is a different size – meaning you will probably need to get a new case when you get your phone. So, what does all of this mean for your current Mob Armor gear? Luckily, not much – keep reading for details.
MobNetic Mounts
Nothing will really change when it comes to magnetically mounting your device. Since you already require a MobNetic Device Plate to achieve the strongest magnetic bond, changes in the iPhone won’t make a big difference. The one thing you’ll probably have to do is pick up some more MobNetic Device Plates, if you don’t have any left from your original mount. Otherwise, all of our magnetic phone mounts including the MobNetic Maxx, MobNetic Go, MobNetic Claw, and MobNetic Stixx, are perfectly compatible with the new iPhone 14. Keep in mind, if you’re using wireless chargers, the MobNetic Device Plate will block the charging – so either use it on a case, or away from the MagSafe array (dead center of the phone).
FLEX Magnetic Wireless Charger
If you do want wireless charging, but also wish to mount your phone, you need the FLEX Magnetic Wireless Charger. It’s designed with the same magnets as Apple MagSafe wireless charging, but with added magnetic strength to increase the holding power. All of our FLEX products are compatible with the new iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro, but you may need to purchase more Mag FLEX Plate to add to your new device, or FLEX Retro Caps to add compatibility with our MobNetic mounts when not charging.
Mob Armor Tablet Mounts
While there were no new tablets announced in this showcase, they are on the horizon. We also recently released several new and improved tablet mounts, all with new all-aluminum housings, and most with upgraded 180 degree tilt (except for the direct mounts). The good news is, our tablet products are specifically designed for maximum compatibility with the wide range of not just iPads, but all tablets and larger devices. Our 290 pull-force magnet TabNetic mounts are all compatible with the new iPad, but just like the MobNetic mounts, you may need to purchase a new TabNetic Device Plate if you are using an existing mount. The Tab Mounts are all compatible right out of the box, being greatly adjustable with sliding arms to cradle your tablet.
You Don’t Need To Worry About Compatibility With Mob Armor
Our products are designed to be as simple and easy to use as possible – with no extensions, different mounts for different phones, or excessive adjustments. With our magnetic phone mounts, it is as simple as applying a device plate to your phone or phone case and putting it on the mount. All in all, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro are compatible with all Mob Armor products, right out of the box.
